The 9-1-1: ‘Numbers to Know” school campaign targets children from kindergarten through grade 4. TRG developed the logo and tagline, print materials (hand card with magnet, classroom poster and activity coloring book), an informational DVD explaining when to call 9-1-1, as well as, the 9-1-1 School Kit web site, where teachers and principals can learn more about the 9-1-1 School Kits and order them for their classrooms.

Elementary schools across Massachusetts were sent letters informing them about the availability of the free 9-1-1 school kits which could be requested via the internet or through 1-888 telephone number. To date, we have had over 650 schools request kits.  

TRG held a 9-1-1: “Numbers to Know” School event in November, 2008 at the Schofield Elementary School in Wellesley to unveil the campaign. In attendance were: John Grossman-Undersecretary for Forensic Science and Technology at the EOPSS; Frank Pozniak the Executive Director of the State 911 Department, and Monna Wallace, Program Director oat the State 911 Department. In addition, representatives of the Wellesley Police and Fire Department and the State Police participated in the event.
