Director of Photography

Douglas Wicks is a senior producer and the director of photography (DP) at TRG Productions. He has more than twenty years of experience in all aspects of video production.
Since 1992, Mr. Wicks has been working at The Rendon Group Productions (TRGP) in Boston. He is currently not only the DP and senior producer, but he is also an editor, writer and director. He has shot footage all over the US, Central America (he speaks descent Spanish), the Caribbean and Europe. He has worked with film/TV stars, world-famous musicians, sports heroes and equally famous politicians. Two Emmys sit on his desk beside his bowling and golf trophies (one of which he bought at a yard sale). His footage has appeared on way too many networks and once in a while he can be heard as a voice over announcer for TV spots.
Prior to joining the TRGP team, Doug worked at Townhouse Post-Productions in Washington, D.C. There he served as an on-line editor, producer, director, and writer for more than 35 TV spots for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. This project sent him all over the country (several times) documenting various oddities in American culture, ranging from the mule ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon to the National Hollering Contest in Spivey's Corner, North Carolina. His editing work appeared regularly on Fox Network’s "America's Most Wanted."
From 1985-1989, Mr. Wicks worked for WIX PIX Productions, a video production company located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania where he served as an on-line editor, cameraman, writer, and director. He worked on a variety of projects including TV spots for Arthur Treachers, The American Red Cross training programs, and hundreds of other TV commercials and industrial training/educational videos. Other than that, his office is a shrine to the Beatles, Wallace & Grommit, Max Headroom, Monty Python and the Simpsons. And in case of an emergency, Mr. Wicks always keeps a guitar close by.
Mr. Wicks is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Broadcast Communications and served four years in the US and Germany in the US Army as a 2nd Lt.
