The Rendon Group is beginning pre-production of the 5th Annual Reserve Cup Challenge Tournament for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The Reserve Cup is a financial literacy challenge campaign for high school students in New England.  Last year nearly 40 high schools participated from six states.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health awards the Rendon Group contract to organize and produce a dental resident cultural competence conference for its Office of Oral Health. The conference is scheduled for August 17th 2010

The Ovarian Cancer Awareness Coalition has retained The Rendon Group to work with the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and Reebok to help develop a school-based education campaign on the signs and dangers of ovarian cancer.  The campaign will be called: “Team Molly.” Team Molly is named in memory of Molly Eisenberg of Lexington, Massachusetts who at the age of 19, lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2008.

The Empower Peace Women2Women program has received a record 1,100+ young women applicants from nearly 70 countries to attend the annual leadership conference in Cambridge, MA.  Women2Women-America 2010 will accept 120 delegates and take place from August 3rd to 10th.

On Wednesday, April 28th TRG, working on behalf of the State 9-1-1 Department, organized and produced the annual awards ceremony that honors ALL public safety telecommunications professionals throughout Massachusetts. Nearly 200 public safety professionals attended the event which featured a speech by the Secretary of Public Safety and Security Mary Elizabeth Heffernan.

Empower Peace awards International Rockstar Salman Ahmad of Junoon its 2010 Peacemaker Award for his work building bridges of peace. Salman has taken part in a number of Empower Peace events over the years and is a huge proponent of increasing understanding, cooperation and mutual respect amongst cultures around the world.

Salman took part in the third Empower Peace video conference exchange between students in Boston, New York, Pakistan and Egypt in September 2005. Weeks later, Salman offered his support to Empower Peace: Pledging for Pakistan, an international telethon raising money and awareness for victims of the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.

Salman was in Boston to promote his new autobiography "Rock & Roll Jihad".

• The Rendon Group to conduct statewide public education for State 9-1-1 Department to inform the public about the Equipment Distribution Program (EDP) and Mass Relay as well as wireless 9-1-1.

• The Rendon Group to product education and training video on Fair and Impartial Policing for the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. Working with EOPSS and Lamberth Consulting, TRG will product a series of video training modules designed to educate law enforcement and community leaders on fair and impartial policing. Initiative also calls for the creation of resource web site, series of distance learning web casts, and downloadable education materials.

• The Rendon Group produces "Symphonic Relief for Haiti" concert event with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra. TRG teamed up with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra and the New England Conservatory to conduct a concert to benefit the people of Haiti. The event was attended by over 500 people and raised over $100,000.00 for Partners in Health.

• The Rendon Group is working with the Massachusetts Operational Services Division to organize and produce the 2010 STAR (Statewide Training and Resources) Exposition. STAR 2010 will be held on Tuesday, May 4th at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 325 exhibitors and 2,000 attendees participate each year.

• TRG produces the Teal Ribbon Awards for the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Coalition. Over 125 Ovarian Cancer Awareness advocates and supporters attended a celebratory event in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and the annual September awareness campaign. The event was conducted at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, MA on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. • Empower Peace organizes the Women2Women Alumni conference in Jordan. A delegation of over 50 emerging female leaders and past W2W participants journeyed to Jordan for a week-long leadership conference entitled: "Leadership in Action." The world-wind week consisted of two days of community service, an international webcast on women's issues and a youth volunteerism fair with Jordanian youth.

• Empower Peace, realizing that youth civic engagement and volunteerism is a growing trend worldwide, organizes and hosts the first of it's kind "Empower Peace Global Village" in Amman, Jordan. Nearly 200 Jordanian youth from throughout the country attended the volunteerism fair. More than 12 NGO's were present.

• Using the power of the Internet, Empower Peace organizes and produces an international interactive webcast from the site of its Women2Women Alumni Conference in Amman, Jordan. Over 3000 young women from nearly 60 countries logged on the watch the webcast called "1000 Voices for the Future." Prominent community and women's rights activists participated in a lively discussion on a variety of concern to girls and women worldwide.

The event, conducted at Worcester's historic and beautiful Mechanics Hall, honored all public safety telecommunications professionals throughout Massachusetts. Over 120 public safety professionals attended the special recognition event.

• The Rendon Group organizes and produces an interactive webcast briefing for event exhibitors for the upcoming STAR 2009 Expo. The event, run by the Operational Services Division of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, brings together key state personnel with state vendors and also provides professional development workshops. Over 80 exhibitors participated in the web-based, real time briefing.

• The Rendon Group is set to produce a video for the State 9-1-1 department. The production is an educational video on 9-1-1 usage for the senior community.

• TRGP begins production on two videos focusing on energy efficiency and energy savings. The products are being developed on behalf of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

• Working on behalf of the non-profit, Empower Peace, The Rendon Group organizes and produces an hour-long interactive webcast featuring high school students from Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. The students make presentations and field questions regarding life in Dubai. Over 40 high schools and 2,500 students from around the world viewed the webcast.

• The Rendon Group organizes and manages the 2008 Smart Growth/Smart Energy Conference for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Working on behalf of the Department of Housing and Community Development and four other sponsoring State agencies, TRG coordinates all aspects of conference. Conducted at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the conference, entitled: "Think Green: Educate and Engage," focused on the latest housing, transportation, economic development, energy, public health, and environmental challenges and innovative programs and solutions. The conference was attended by over 700 people.

November 25, 2008
• The Rendon Group organizes and produces a financial literacy competition featuring New England high school students on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Six teams, each representing their state, compete in the RESERVE CUP CHALLENGE. The event is hosted by Kiss Radio and TV personality, Billy Costa, and TRG also packages the one hour event for airing on NECN. The Winner of this years' Reserve Cup Challenge was Burlington High School, from Burlington, Vermont. Congratulations Burlington High!

November 18, 2008
• TRG continues its work with the Massachusetts 911 Department and is presently developing an outreach and education campaign directed towards seniors in Massachusetts.

• TRG is presently organizing a youth financial literacy competition for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston scheduled for November 25, 2008. The competition, entitled, "The Reserve Cup Challenge" features a game show format that pits high schools students from the six New England states against one another in the battle to secure the coveted "Reserve Cup." The competition is in its third year and is hosted by media personality Billy Costa and will air on NECN.

November 6, 2008
• TRG worked with the Massachusetts State 9-1-1 Department and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to launch the "9-1-1 Numbers to Know" School Kit. The launch event took place at the Schofield Elementary School in Wellesley at a school assembly with over 140 students. Featured speakers included: Public Safety and Security Undersecretary John Grossman and Massachusetts State 9-1-1 Director of Programs Monna Wallace. The kit will be made available to elementary schools around the Commonwealth and features a DVD presentation, coloring book and information card with refrigerator magnet for students to bring home to their parents.

• Nearly one hundred supporters gathered to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the M. Patricia Cronin Foundation to Fight Ovarian Cancer. The event was conducted at Scollay Square in Boston and was emceed by Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray. Honored at the event were Senator Steven Panagiotakos and Representative Robert DeLeo. The event raised thousands of dollars in support of ovarian cancer support groups and ovarian cancer awareness and education.

October 23/24, 2008
• TRGP produced a live interactive web case from Mount Rushmore in South Dakota for the non-profit Elderhostel. The program, entitled "Wisdom of Our Fathers," was produced in front of a live audience and featured four presidential scholars/impersonators of the presidents on Mouth Rushmore. The webcast was broadcast to over a dozen locations and over 1000 viewers nationwide. It was the culmination of a four month long education program on Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.
